Accommodation
During the training, you will stay at Shivoham Yoga, Palolem. You can choose to stay in single, double, or triple rooms. All rooms are non-AC and you can upgrade to an AC room at an additional cost. The spacious accommodation with a pleasant environment helps you to learn the core of yoga with positivity all around.
The YTT in Goa has all the necessary amenities you will need including restaurants, chill out and dining areas, Wi-Fi, staff to assist you 24/7, toilet papers, and clean towels. Hot water is supplied through water heaters. The space has been designed to align with the wider purpose and values, respecting the environment, and looking after all living beings.

At the end of the 200-hour yoga teacher training in Goa, there will be a written, as well as practical assessment, and full participation is expected from students in all classes. Attendance in all classes is mandatory and compulsory, if you fail to do so, there is a possibility that you will receive a certificate of participation whereas full participation students will receive a certificate of completion.

Keeping the requirements of Yoga Alliance, the 200-hour YTT program follows an intense schedule where almost 6 to 7 training hours in a day are assigned to some aspect of yoga. You may find the training intensive but transformational.

Standard of Conduct (Rules)
- Use respectful language free from profanity, cursing, swearing, vulgarity, insults, abusive or crude language, and verbal threats
- Maintain silence after evening meditation until the following morning meditation and during meals
- Use mobile phones and other communication devices only during breaks
- Attendance and full participation in the scheduled classes is mandatory. If for any reason you must be absent from any part of the daily schedule, a written notice must be submitted to the teacher. Absence without permission from classes may result in dismissal from the course
- Dress code: men and women can wear yoga pants, shorts, tank tops, etc. during asana class, but for other classes make sure you are covered appropriately to respect the Indian culture
- Observance of the ashram dress code should always be maintained including during yoga lecture classes or swimming in the nearby lake, pond or river. Nudity is forbidden.
- Karma yoga is an integral part of the course. It is a very practical approach to help eliminate egoistic and selfish tendencies. Students should expect to perform at least one hour of Karma yoga daily
Inappropriate Conduct
- Make false statements about others with malice or publicly disclose another’s private information
- To play very loud, or offensive music in the ashram. Any music played should be of sattvic nature and not disturb others
- Smoking, alcohol, non-prescription drugs, eating meat, fish, eggs, are not allowed in the ashram (smoking can be done in smoking area)
- Photography and video filming are not allowed during sadhana (spiritual practice) times i.e. meditation, Satsang, asana class, lectures, and rituals as well as in the temple areas and during meals. This is to maintain a tranquil and protected environment for all. Exceptions will be announced by the director for special occasions
- Shivoham Yoga disapproves of and condemns any form of harassment directed at guests, staff, or visitors. Specifically, no harassment, proposals or innuendos with a sexual connotation will be tolerated during any program or activity organized by Shivoham Yoga. Guests participating in such programs are accordingly made aware of this policy and invited to apply it in their personal behavior whilst on the school premises. Any guest who thinks she (he) may be the victim of unsolicited advances or any other form of sexual harassment is asked to notify a senior teacher immediately in order for corrective action to be undertaken without delay. Complaints made to a senior Teacher or director will be treated confidentially and the alleged violator or any third party will not be advised of the complainant’s identity without the latter’s consent.

Instructors
Rimi Sodhi
Born in Pune, dynamic and cheerful Rimi Sodhi is a yoga instructor who said goodbye to the corporate world and namaste to her yogic journey which began at the age of 26. Her teaching skills specialize in Hatha and Vinyasa yoga. Spirituality struck her at the tender age of 8 when she and her friends would meditate every weekend under the guidance of their Spiritual Mentor. She is a classically trained dancer and singer who carries her zen den to every corner of the country providing yoga sessions in schools, corporates, studios and has taught at some yoga training courses in Goa, Dharamsala.
Vivek Kalura
A carrier of immense knowledge, the young, dedicated, and disciplined, Vivek is a magnificent yoga teacher with his roots in the yoga capital Rishikesh. Vivek found his calling in yoga at a very young age. What began as a mere physical practice, led to a life-transforming journey for Vivek when he experienced the joy of being one with the source. He gained expertise from renowned yoga masters in different styles of yoga such as Hatha, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Iyengar. His ardency has taken him to further pursue a yoga master’s degree at the Uttarakhand Sanskrit University.
Sachin Rautela
With his roots in the traditional Hindu family Sachin started his yoga journey at the age of 15. He is well acquainted with Bhakti Yoga and has met many spiritual masters and through these encounters his yoga practice has deepened and he’s become a master of Yoga Methodology.
He conducts classes in Rishikesh and one of the core team member at Shivoham Yoga, his classes focus on proper alignment and flexibility. Sachin is well versed in asanas and understands the biomechanics of the body. Sachin helps in optimizing the use and avoiding injuries of muscles while performing asanas. With his experience practitioners are able to gain control of the body and muscles which enables them to perform complex asanas with ease.

At the restaurant, you will find a wide variety of exquisite vegetarian food, with the taste and spice of Indian cuisine. All of the food is handled with love, care, and cleanliness, the vegetables and fruits are washed with filtered water, and every dish represents the passion the kitchen team feels for food. Please note that the school does not offer any non-vegetarian food (including eggs). Please inform Shivoham Yoga School of any dietary requirements when you make a reservation for the course.

How to get there
Goa is an international destination that can be reached by air from almost anywhere in the world. Between October and mid April there are direct chartered flights running regularly to Dabolim, Goa’s main airport. You can also reach Goa from all India’s major domestic airports including Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, etc. Goa is also well connected both by train and bus to all major Indian cities. Kindly carry a Vaccination certificate and negative covid report as it’s mandatory as per Government rules.
